LE AROMATICHE

Una pianta aromatica si definisce tale quando è in grado di emettere un aroma gradevole per l'uomo. Questa caratteristica è dovuta alla presenza di oli essenziali nelle foglie. Lo scopo degli odori emessi dalle piante aromatiche è difensivo e riproduttivo. Questi odori, risultano repellenti per gli insetti fitofagi, cioè quelli che mangerebbero la pianta, e attrattivi per gli insetti pronubi, cioè quelli che trasportano il polline favorendo la riproduzione delle piante. Non è difficile coltivare piante aromatiche; del resto, molte di esse sono piante spontanee. Infatti, è "sufficiente" adattarsi alle loro esigenze per realizzare un orto aromatico sempre pronto all'occorrenza. Per scoprire l'origine dell'utilizzo delle piante aromatiche occorre tornare indietro di circa 60mila anni, periodo a cui risale il primo ritrovamento di millefoglie e ibisco all'interno di una tomba. L'uso delle piante aromatiche, che per primo potrebbe venire alla mente è quello delle profumerie. Il secondo utilizzo è quello in cucina. Anche l'industria degli alcolici, in particolare per la produzione degli amari, fa ampio uso di esse. Poiché molte di queste piante sono piante aromatiche e officinali, sono utilizzate anche in erboristeria per la preparazione di tisane o infusi. Nell'antichità gli oli delle piante aromatiche venivano utilizzati per profumare i defunti. Le erbe aromatiche, infatti, erano considerate in grado di trasportare messaggi spirituali dagli uomini alle divinità. Si pensava anche che le piante aromatiche fossero utilizzate da vecchie signore, ovvero le streghe, per creare delle pozioni magiche.

AROMATIC PLANTS

An aromatic plant is defined as a plant capable of emitting a pleasant aroma for humans. This feature is due to the presence of essential oils in leaves. The purpose of smells emitted by aromatic plants is defensive and reproductive. These smells are “phytophagous”  (plant-eating) insects” repellent, and “pollinating insects”attractive, ( favouring plant reproduction) . It’s not difficult to grow aromatic plants; after all, most of them are spontaneous plants. In fact, it is “enough” to adapt to their needs in order to create an aromatic vegetable garden always ready when needed. In order to find out the origin of the use of aromatic plants, it is necessary to go back about 60.000 years, the period which the first discovery of yarrow and hibiscus inside a tomb dates back to. The first use of aromatic plants might have been perfumery, the second cooking. In alcohol factories, there is a wide use of them as well, especially for the production of bitter. Since many of these plants are aromatic and officinal, they’re also used in herb shops for the preparation of infusions. In ancient times, oils from  aromatic plants were used to perfume the dead. Aromatic plants were considered, in fact, capable of carrying spiritual messages from men to gods. It was also thought that aromatic plants were used by old ladies, or witches, to create magic potions.

LES PLANTES AROMATIQUES

Une plante aromatique se définit comme une plante capable d'émettre un arôme agréable pour l’homme. Cette caractéristique est due à la présence d’huiles essentielles dans les feuilles. Le but des odeurs émises par les plantes aromatiques est défensif et reproductif. Ces odeurs sont répulsives pour les insectes phytophages, c’est-à-dire ceux qui mangeraient la plante, et attractives pour les insectes pollinisateurs, c’est-à-dire ceux qui transportent le pollen en favorisant la reproduction des plantes. Il n’est pas difficile de cultiver des plantes aromatiques; d’ailleurs, beaucoup d’entre elles sont des plantes spontanées. En effet, il est "suffisant" de s’adapter à leurs besoins pour réaliser un potager aromatique toujours prêt si nécessaire. Pour découvrir l’origine de l’utilisation des plantes aromatiques, il faut remonter à environ 60000 ans, période à laquelle remonte la première découverte

de millefeuille et d’hibiscus à l’intérieur d’une tombe. L’utilisation des plantes aromatiques, qui pourrait venir à l’esprit en premier, est celle des parfumeries. La deuxième utilisation est celle dans la cuisine. L’industrie des alcools, en particulier pour la production des amers, en fait aussi un large usage. Puisque beaucoup de ces plantes sont des plantes aromatiques et médicinales, elles sont également utilisées en phytothérapie pour la préparation de tisanes ou d’infusions. Dans l’Antiquité, les huiles des plantes aromatiques étaient utilisées pour parfumer les défunts. En effet, les herbes aromatiques étaient considérées comme capables de transmettre des messages spirituels des hommes aux divinités. On pensait aussi que les plantes aromatiques étaient utilisées par les vieilles dames, les sorcières, pour créer des potions magiques.

Aromatische Pflanzen

Eine aromatische Pflanze ist eine Pflanze, die ein angenehmes Aroma für den Menschen abgeben kann. Diese Eigenschaft ist auf das Vorhandensein von ätherischen Ölen in den Blättern zurückzuführen.

Der Zweck der von aromatischen Pflanzen ausgestoßenen Gerüche ist defensiv und reproduktiv. Diese Gerüche sind Schädlingsabweisend, die die Pflanze fressen würden, und sie sind Lockstoffe für Blüteninsekten, die Pollen transportieren und die Vermehrung der Pflanzen fördern.

Es ist nicht schwer, aromatische Pflanzen zu züchten, schließlich sind viele von ihnen Wildpflanzen. Es genügt, sich an ihre Bedürfnisse anzupassen, um einen aromatischen Garten zu schaffen, der immer bereit ist, wenn man ihn braucht.

Um den Ursprung der Verwendung aromatischer Pflanzen zu entdecken, muss man etwa 60.000 Jahre zurückgehen, in die Zeit, aus der die erste Entdeckung von Schafgarben und Hibiskus in einem Grab stammt. Die erste Verwendung aromatischer Pflanzen, die uns in den Sinn kommt, ist die der Parfümerie. Die zweite Verwendung ist die in der Küche. Auch in der alkoholischen Industrie, insbesondere bei der Herstellung von Magenbitter, werden sie häufig verwendet. Da es sich bei vielen dieser Pflanzen um Aroma- und Heilpflanzen

handelt, werden sie auch in der Kräutermedizin für die Zubereitung von Kräutertees oder Aufgüssen verwendet. In der Antike wurden aromatische Pflanzenöle verwendet, um die Toten zu parfümieren. Man ging sogar davon aus, dass aromatische Kräuter in der Lage waren, spirituelle Botschaften von Menschen an Gottheiten zu übermitteln. Man glaubte auch, dass aromatische Pflanzen von alten Damen, d. h. Hexen, zur Herstellung von Zaubertränken verwendet wurden.
