EXPLORING THE TAPESTRY OF EUROPEAN HISTORY, RELIGION AND CULTURE – CLASSE 2B LINGUISTICO
La Classe 2B linguistico ha iniziato nel mese di ottobre un affascinante “viaggio” nel tempo e attraverso il continente europeo addentrandosi nel ricco arazzo della storia, della religione e della cultura europea realizzando un interessante progetto eTwinning programmato per l’anno in corso dalle prof.sse Giuliani Luciana e Paola Torre. L’iniziativa riunisce studenti provenienti da diversi contesti europei ( Grecia, Germania, Francia, Romania, Portogallo, Turchia e dunque Italia) per svelare i misteri e celebrare le meraviglie del passato e del presente dell'Europa. Attraverso attività interattive, discussioni coinvolgenti e presentazioni multimediali, i partecipanti esploreranno l'interconnessione di aspetti vitali dell'esistenza europea. Avranno dunque l'opportunità di confrontare eventi storici, credenze religiose ed espressioni culturali specifiche e di apprezzare il mosaico delle diverse esperienze europee.
Nei mesi di ottobre e novembre gli alunni hanno presentato se stessi, la loro scuola e alcuni monumenti caratteristici della loro città, hanno anche incontrato on line a piccoli gruppi i ragazzi delle varie scuole comunicando in lingua inglese. Proseguiranno lavorando in gruppi internazionali e focalizzandosi su argomenti specifici suggeriti dagli studenti e condivisi dalle docenti italiane e straniere.
Liceo Peano is an Italian secondary school with various courses to allow students to focus on the subjects or areas which interest them the most. There are courses with a humanities base (classic, linguistic and human sciences) as well as another with a more scientific focus.
It is located in Tortona, a small city in the northwestern Piedmont region of Italy, between Milan and Genoa. The main building is on a nice leafy hill in Tortona, not far from the town centre. It is named after a famous mathematician and opened before WW2. We attend year 2 of a five-year language course and specialize in studying English, German and French Culture and Literature.
Liceo Peano has traditionally had extraordinarily strong ties to the territory, and while that tradition remains,the school has moved swiftly into the 21st century. Innovative teaching methods are being inserted in an updated European and international context. Students take part in an array of national and international projects which enrich their learning experience, such as eTwinning, language courses hosted abroad, cultural experiences in classical Greece and Europe, Cambridge Qualifications, drama clubs indifferent languages, computer science license, cooperation with several Italian Universities, Poetry National Contest.
